Preparation Method
In a microwave-safe jar (or bowl), crack the egg and mix with the milk and oil. Add the salt, cornstarch, cheese, and baking powder. Mix everything very well until you have a smooth batter.
Microwave it for 2 to 3 minutes on high. If you prefer to use the oven, pour the mixture into small molds and bake for about 15 minutes at 180°C (350°F). The aroma that fills the kitchen is simply irresistible.
Here at home, when I make it, it barely comes out of the microwave before everyone's already digging in with a spoon. And there's not always enough left for a second jar!
Healthy Version of the Recipe
If you want a lighter version of this wonderful dish, you just need to adapt some of the ingredients:
1 farm egg,
3 tablespoons of plant-based milk (such as almond or oat milk),
2 tablespoons of olive oil,
1 pinch of sea salt,
3 tablespoons of sour starch,
2 tablespoons of grated vegan cheese or light Minas cheese,
½ teaspoon of baking powder
The preparation method is the same, and the result is a lighter, but equally delicious, cheese bread. Ideal for those with dietary restrictions or who follow a balanced diet!
